I cannot get image on LCD screen pre photo taking

this means I have to look through small view finder to take picture

I have looked in my manual and cannot find anything that helps

Hi Paulinemck, welcome to the Sony Forums

Like the a100 and a700, your a200 doesn't have LiveView, so you need to frame your shots as you would with a traditional DSLR, through the viewfinder.

The feature was introduced in 2008 with the a350 and spread to the rest of the alpha range after that.
